Marl Inn is a private home Bed and Breakfast, built in 1978 with a colonial architectural style. Marl Inn opened for business in 1996 and was restored in 2001. In September, 2009, the Inn was purchased by Tom and Poppet Nelson. Tom is the fourth great-grandson of Thomas Nelson, Jr., Signer of the Declaration of Independence, Revolutionary War Governor after
Thomas Jefferson and commander of the Virginia Militia during the siege of Yorktown.
We have a nightly rate, $99, for those who can do without breakfast or want to stock the suite kitchen with food items or even have breakfast in local restaurants. Check the Amenities and Rates for more details.
Full breakfast is only for guests and not the general public. Guest should request one of the three (3) options or a mix for different days at registration: 1. no breakfast, 2. continental breakfast, or 3. full breakfast.
